Power Requirements
For indoor events, the local (site provided utility) power is most always adequate. For outdoor events, a Diesel generator will be needed if site power is not adequate or available.
- Indoor events: Utility power is usually adequate. qty: 1 to 6 15/20amp 120V (single phase) circuits. Depends on sound and/or lighting requirements.
- Outdoor events: If utility power is unavailable, a generator will be required. For a large sound system, minimum 25KW Diesel generator with qty: 2 x 120/240V 50A circuits (single phase). One (or two) circuits cover all audio, remaining circuit (or power) covers all lighting. Depending on the amount of lighting, a 35KW generator may be more appropriate. A spider-box with a 120/240V 50amp pass-through is highly recommended (along with the standard receptacles found on these distribution boxes). We recommend a separate/dedicated generator for vendors. Depending on the size of the sound system, gasoline inverter generators may be appropriate. Non-inverter gasoline generators are NOT recommended.
Not all events need or require a flown speaker system. Additional space on the stage may be required to support the speaker lifts. Additional power may be required for the active speakers. Other logistics involved with deploying a flown speaker system may need to be addressed. We work with our customers to help determine if a flown speaker system will add benefit for their event. For more information on flying a speaker system, see this link: Flying speakers. (opens in new window).
System Power
The system power (watts) referenced in this section are approximate totals of power available for the different production sound systems. Components from these sound systems may be used to supplement our other sound systems to support custom configurations or for scaling of the sound system to accommodate the event.
- Approx. 18,000 watts for FOH (4 dual-18″ subs, 6 x mid/high cabinets)
- Approx. 1500 watts for center-fill mid/high frequencies.
1. Approx. 8,500 watts for FOH (2 dual-18″ subs, 2 x 15″ w/horn mid/high cabinets on stands)
2. Approx. 1500 watts for center-fill mid/high frequencies
- Approx. 2700 watts for FOH (1 x 18″ sub, 2 x 15″ w/horn mid/high cabinets on stands)
- Approx. 1500 watts for center-fill mid/high frequences
- Approx. 1500 watts for FOH (2 x 15″ w/horn full-range) cabinets on stands.
- Approx. 600 watts for FOH (4 x 12″ w/horn full-range) cabinets on stands.
- Approx. 2800 watts – RMS- (8 x 12″ w/horn)
- Performers are welcome to utilize their personal IEM systems
Lighting
Stage Left Audio Productions, LLC offers basic LED PAR-64 stage-wash lighting. For more elaborate lighting solutions (including intelligent and moving head), please contact us, or see the provider list below.
Staging
Stage Left Audio Productions, LLC does not provide staging. However, please see the provider list referenced below for staging companies.
Equipment Riders and Backline
We are unable to support equipment riders and backline services. With the availability of various sound reinforcement equipment and instruments for potential customers, it is cost prohibitive to maintain an inventory of equipment to suit the various sound reinforcement needs as well as performer/musician requests.
